Former Badgers quarterback Jack Coan made a strong statement in his first game playing with the Fighting Irish.
Coan tossed a career-high four touchdown passes and completed 26-of-35 for 366 yards as Notre Dame edged Florida State in overtime 41-38.
Coan started a few games in 2018 and all of the 2019 season with Wisconsin.
He didn’t miss a beat when he ran the offense for coach Brian Kelly in the game played in Tallahassee.
He had his team up by 38-20 with four-and-a-half minutes left – before the Seminoles rallied to tie before the end of regulation.
Coan should be at the controls on September 25th when Wisconsin and Notre Dame meet in Chicago’s Soldier Field.
