A Manitowoc man is facing his second OWI charge after he reportedly took drugs immediately following a parole meeting.
An officer was called to the area of 940 Maritime Drive at 4:00 yesterday afternoon (September 1st) by a parole agent who claimed he saw a 42-year-old man inject drugs, and begin driving. The agent and the suspect had just completed a probation and parole meeting, and the man took off on Maritime Drive.
The responding officer located the vehicle and began following the man. The officer noted erratic behavior from the man as he was driving, eventually stopping him in the 2000 block of Clark Street.
The man was arrested and taken to Holy Family Memorial for a blood draw before taking him to the Manitowoc County Jail.
This is the man’s second OWI offense.
