
The Manitowoc County Historical Society has announced the return of its Hungry for History lecture and dinner programs for fall 2021.
The first of these programs is entitled “Fire Within: A Civil War Narrative from Wisconsin”, and will be held on September 23rd.
Kerry Trask will be presenting diary entries, letters, and newspaper articles from that time period, weaving together personal viewpoints and wartime events to reflect the passions of the times and describes the conflicts encountered by the men who went to war and the people who remained at home.
Then on October 21st, the Historical Society will host “The Last Night on the Titanic: Unsinkable Drinking, Dining, & Style”.
These programs are part of the Society’s Hungry for History series with a meal following the program. Doors will open at 5:00 PM at the Lighthouse Inn, located at 1515 Memorial Drive in Two Rivers.
