
Manitowoc’s Crime Prevention Committee is scheduled to gather this evening.
At their 6:30 PM meeting in the Meeting and Training Room at the Police Department headquarters, the Committee will allow the public time to voice their input before receiving updates from the Triad, their High School members, the Police and Sheriff’s Departments, the school resource officer, and the citizen’s academy.
Healthiest Manitowoc County will also talk about substance abuse in the area before the Committee looks over the latest scams to hit the lakeshore.
These include the ever-popular grandparent’s scam, and the lottery scam, which has been conducted via text messages and email. T
hey will then discuss ideas for National Night Out, and the Annual Crime Prevention Award at City Hall.
