A Manitowoc woman found passed out in a bathroom at the Manitowoc County Courthouse is now facing charges.
The 31-year-old woman was found in a bathroom stall at 3:30 PM on Monday (August 30th), and EMS personnel were called. The woman was taken to Aurora Medical Center for treatment shortly after.
A “drug kit” was found nearby, which contained unused needles, a scale, numerous pipes, a blow torch and other items of drug paraphernalia.
After the woman received treatment, she was questioned by officers, but she invoked her 5th Amendment right to remain silent.
She was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
If you or someone you know is suffering from addiction, there are some treatment options, including CORE Treatment Services in Manitowoc, and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, which recently expanded their opioid recovery program.
