A Sheboygan man is battling for his life after crashing his motorcycle early this morning.
According to a report from the Sheboygan Police Department, the 27-year-old man was riding his motorcycle south on South 8th Street just prior to 1:30 AM and failed to negotiate a roundabout at the intersection with Indiana Avenue.
The unnamed man was ejected from the bike and suffered what were termed life-threatening injuries.
Officers were nearby and were able to use a tourniquet to control heavy bleeding before the man was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital by Sheboygan Fire Department Paramedics.
He was then transported to Froedtert Hospital by air ambulance. The incident remains under investigation.
