Protesters showed up in force to the Oshkosh school board meeting yesterday, resulting in it being postponed.
While protesters have shown up to other school board meetings in the area demanding that school districts not require masks, the protesters yesterday entered the room where the meeting was being held and disrupted the meeting.
Members of the school board asked the 20-30 men and women to put on a mask, but they refused, resulting in a police officer telling them they needed to mask up.
This resulted in a verbal altercation between people on both sides of the issue.
District officials threatened to postpone the meeting if the protesters wouldn’t put on a face covering.
The protesters did not comply, resulting in the board members leaving the room, and gathering in the Superintendent’s Office.
A new time and date for the Board meeting has not yet been determined.
