Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren says former Wisconsin athletic director and football coach Barry Alvarez will play a role in the scheduling effort as the conference hammers out its alliance with the Pac-12 and A-C-C.
Alvarez joined the Big Ten as a special adviser on football matters after retiring at U-W.
Although the alliance between the conferences was announced Tuesday, details have been slow in coming.
Contracts in place for non-conference games will be honored, but eventually, the Badgers will be seeing a lot of teams like U-S-C and Clemson when they go outside of the Big Ten.
