Statistics from the Wisconsin Realtors Association reflect a drop in statewide home sales last month compared to a year earlier.
The WRA report shows a statewide sales decline of 14% in July, while the median price rose almost 11%.
The statewide average for days on the market of available properties fell from 90 days in 2020 to 65 days this past July.
Here in the lakeshore area, monthly home sales declined by 8% from 125 to 115.
Average days on the market also dropped by 24% from 86 to 65, and the median price locally rose nearly 28% to $161,000.
Home sales for the first seven months of 2021 in Manitowoc County went down by one (592 compared to 592) while the year-to-date median price was up 18%.
