If COVID-19 sweeps through a Big Ten team’s locker room they could be assessed a loss if it forces a game to be canceled.
The Big Ten is the latest Power Five conference to announce that teams lacking enough players for a game will have to forfeit.
If both teams can’t compete on the date – and the game can’t be rescheduled – it will be considered a no-contest.
Monday’s announcement brings the Big Ten into an alliance with other Power Five conferences.
All are expected to eventually follow suit.
