
Beloit police report they have arrested five men in a series of shootings over the weekend that left one man dead.
Three other people were wounded.
22-year-old Devonte R-M Cordier faces three counts of first-degree attempted homicide. He was taken into custody in South Beloit and is awaiting extradition from Illinois.
The name of the 20-year-old man who died hasn’t been released.
A 27-year-old woman and 48-year-old man are expected to recover from their wounds.
Also facing attempted homicide charges are 21-year-old Raymond Gosha, 23-year-old Steve Brock, 22-year-old Garrett Rocha, and 19-year-old Tarious Armstrong.
Beloit police also responded to six more calls reported gunshots being fired.
