
A man is facing eight charges after he reportedly attacked a woman in Manitowoc and threatened to shoot her.
The Manitowoc Police Department sent officers to a residence in the 1200 block of Arlington Avenue at 10:45 AM on Sunday (August 22nd) to investigate the report of a domestic assault.
The victim told authorities that she and her 30-year-old boyfriend had gotten into an argument, during which he reportedly punched her in the face multiple times, spit on her, strangled her, and threatened to kill her and her family.
He also allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife, saying āIām going to cut you.ā
The woman was able to escape and fled in a vehicle.
There were visible injuries noted by police, so the man was arrested, and transported to the Manitowoc County Jail.
A total of eight charges have been filed against the man, including 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety with Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Suffocation and Strangulation, Aggravated Battery with Intention of Causing Great Bodily Harm, Simple Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Disorderly Conduct, each with Domestic Violence Enhancers, as well as Possession of Mushrooms, THC with Intent to Deliver, and Drug Paraphernalia.
