The Oshkosh woman who has been charged with attempting to hire a hitman has been ordered to stand trial.
Melissa Smith reportedly offered a person $500 to kill someone that stole her gun and told police she was selling drugs.
The would-be hitman instead went to the police and informed them of the situation.
They then recorded a series of conversations with Smith, where she reportedly spoke about using duct tape and plastic drop cloths to perform the killing.
Smith remains in the Winnebago County Jail on a $1 million cash bond, with her next court date not yet set.
