A Wisconsin wrestler has won the World Junior Wrestling Championship in his weight class at a competition in Russia.
Arrowhead High School graduate Keegan O’Toole won by technical fall in the gold medal match Wednesday.
O’Toole has been a Wisconsin state champion, a national champion, a collegiate All-American, and now a world champion representing the US.
He is just the third wrestler in Wisconsin history to win four individual state titles at the Division One level.
As the number-two recruit in the country, he committed to wrestler at Missouri where he took third place last season at the NCAA Tournament.
He was also named an All-American.
