During their meeting yesterday, the Green Bay Area Public School District voted to approve the implementation of a mask mandate for all students and staff for this coming school year.
The mandate goes into effect on Monday, requiring face coverings inside all District buildings and transportation.
This is a change from a previous ruling, where masks were optional for those in 7th grade and up.
Brown County is amid a spike in COVID-19 cases, and the CDC is encouraging everyone to wear masks inside.
As of now, the Manitowoc Public School District is not requiring masks in any school building, but they are encouraging students and staff alike to wear them.
