The body of a 66-year-old Waukesha man who apparently drowned has been taken to the county medical examiner’s office.
The victim hasn’t been identified.
Western Lakes Fire Chief Bradley Brown says authorities were called when an empty boat was discovered anchored in Lower Nashotah Lake.
A person told authorities his friend’s fishing boat was anchored in the lake about 100 yards from shore, but no one was on board.
While authorities were investigating a vehicle was found parked near a boat launch.
The victim’s body was found in about 10 feet of water.
