Wisconsin’s most popular state park is getting even larger.
The Department of Natural Resources will be adding more than 200 acres to Devils Lake State Park near Baraboo. That property is being paid for out of the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship program, the state’s conservation fund.
The new area will be mostly forest but has some prairie land as well.
The DNR says they’re likely to add walking and biking trails, though a final decision will come next year.
