The Wisconsin Building Commission has approved more than $92 million in state projects.
Commission members met Wednesday at the Wisconsin State Fair Park. The projects cover infrastructure work, from energy conservation of UW campuses to regular maintenance and upkeep. $48 million will go to an addition and renovation project at the Kohl Center – although 10 million of the price tag will be covered by gifts and the rest through a combination of state funding and borrowing.
Expanded and additional facilities will be built for the men’s and women’s basketball teams, plus golf, hockey, swimming, tennis, cheerleading, and dance teams.
