The National Weather Service says the tornado that hit the Boscobel area last weekend was the strongest storm in Wisconsin since 2008.
Survey teams increased their estimate of the top wind speeds to 160 miles an hour after examining the damage.
More than a dozen homes and more than two dozen outbuildings were destroyed by the E-F-3 tornado.
The storm was on the ground for 10.5 miles and its path was up to 1,100 yards wide.
The last tornado that strong touched down in Kenosha.
Starting Sunday and lasting through Monday, hundreds of neighbors worked together on the clean-up.
