After spending the weekend recovering in a Green Bay Hospital, the Oconto Falls Police Officer who was shot late last week is now home.
Details on the situation are still fuzzy, but what we do know is that the officer was responding to a series of hang-up 911 calls that came from a home in the 100 block of Elm Avenue.
It was believed there may have been a hostage situation, which resulted in multiple agencies responding to the scene, and finding the officer already shot.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested, but it is unclear if she shot the officer with a gun she had in the home, or if she had used the officer’s weapon.
No names have been released at this time.
More information is expected to be released, including names, once the woman is formally charged, and has had her initial court appearance.
