Green Bay coaches are looking forward to seeing backup quarterback Jordan Love perform at game speed.
He’ll take most of the snaps in the first preseason game against the Houston Texans Saturday (August 14th).
He had some eye-opening moments in the Family Night scrimmage last weekend.
Love showed his inexperience at times, then also showed the physical tools that led the Packers to take him in the first round of the 2020 N-F-L Draft.
He had some fumbles and some weak throws last weekend, but he also made an outstanding throw to receiver Reggie Begelton, slicing a pass through double coverage.
Begelton dropped it, but coach Matt LaFleur pointed out how accurate Love was that time.
Now, his coach wants to see how the young quarterback handles game situations.
