Congressman Glenn Grothman was asked by a reporter as he was leaving a town hall meeting recently if he was vaccinated, to which he replied, “I don’t like to get into taking sides on it.”
The Glenbeulah Republican said he didn’t want to play doctor, and that people should talk to those in the medical field about the issue.
After answering the question, Grothman took off his microphone and walked away.
His reaction to the question brought forth the ire of some Democrats, including party Chair Ben Wikler.
He called Grothman’s response “cowardice”, and said it isn’t about taking sides, saying “it’s about public health.”
