A former Wisconsin Badgers basketball standout is continuing to excel following his 16-year N-B-A career.
Michael Finley has been promoted to assistant general manager in the front office of the Dallas Mavericks.
His new position is reportedly to be an expanded role as assistant G-M and vice president of player personnel under new Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison.
Finley was a 34-year-old reserve for the 2007 San Antonio Spurs when they swept Cleveland for the N-B-A title.
He played for the Wisconsin Badgers from 1991 to 1995, earning All-Big Ten first-team honors twice.
