WOMT Radio is scheduled to go off the air sometime this morning for tower maintenance on another antenna co-located on the WOMT structure.
The lightning and rainstorms of July 14th and 15th that rolled through the state, caused damaged to WLTU-FM which has antenna bays at the top of the WOMT tower.
Later this morning, around 10:00 AM, WOMT 1240 AM will go off the air.
As the workers continue to climb the 500-foot structure, WOMT 107.9 FM will also go off the air. This shut down will protect the tower climbers’ safety.
WOMT’s local programming will continue online uninterrupted at www.WOMTRadio.com.
