Tonight, all around the country, police departments will be celebrating National Night Out.
According to the National Night Out webpage, the annual event was created in 1984 to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
In Two Rivers, there will be a public celebration at Walsh Field. Police, Fire, Sheriff, K9, SWAT, Army, and Public Works personnel will be on hand, with music provided by DJ Levy from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Concessions will be available from Brian’s Smokehouse and Two Rivers Scouting Troops.
In Manitowoc however, SGT Paul Krock told Seehafer News that they are not holding a public event, but rather multiple private events, thrown by neighborhood watch block captains throughout the city.
This is how the MTPD has celebrated National Night out for the past several years.
