Packers linebacker Preston Smith says he took a pay cut to stay in Green Bay because he wants a shot at another N-F-L title.
Smith says the Packers came so close the last two years.
He agreed on a new deal in the off-season that cut his salary cap number almost in half to $8.75.
He made $16 million during a subpar 2020 season.
The new deal contains incentives enough for him to actually make more money if his production improves.
The Packers starting practicing in pads for the first time this morning when they take Ray Nitschke Field at 10:10 a-m.
