A Brown County man is facing charges after it was discovered that he allegedly started eight fires between 2018 and 2021.
24-year-old James Ambrosius was questioned shortly after a fire at Dedicated Repair Inc in Ledgeview last week, where he admitted to starting a total of eight fires.
He admitted to starting that fire, as well as one at a restaurant near Dedicated Repair in 2018 and starting a truck on fire at Dedicated Repair back in March, on top of several fires at farms in the area.
Ambrosius also admitted to doing cocaine in the parking lot and stealing money from the register to support his habit.
When asked if he felt bad about any of the fires he set, Ambrosius reportedly claimed to be haunted by a barn fire in 2018, because his uncle suffered a heart attack and died the next day.
Eight counts of Arson have been filed against Ambrosius, as well as Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and two counts of Theft of Movable Property over $2,500.
