A man was arrested in Manitowoc Sunday night (August 1st) after he attempted to flee from police and threatened them.
Officers were called to the Marathon Gas Station located at 1807 Washington Street at 10:00 PM, and the clerk told them a young man had been sitting outside the store for about three hours.
The clerk also said it appeared as though he was selling drugs, and when asked to leave, the man told the clerk he knew people would beat him up.
Officers located the 19-year-old man riding a bike in the 1200 block of Washington Street.
When the officer attempted to make contact, the man took off on his bike, before running through yards in the 1200 block of 11th Street.
He was eventually captured, and placed under arrest, which is when he told the officers he knew three people who could beat him up.
The man has been charged with Obstructing an Officer, Threats to Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct.
