The City of Sheboygan’s public transit system, Shoreline Metro, has announced it will reduce service hours for its trolley route, the Harbor Centre Express, starting Monday (August 2nd).
Service will be provided Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will no longer be service on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays.
Director of Transit Derek Muench cited a labor shortage as one of the main reasons for the reduction.
Muench also adds that the trolleys used for this service are out of service and are irreparable.
Shoreline Metro hopes to purchase a new trolley in the near future to be used for this service.
