There was a dog biting incident yesterday afternoon (July 28th) in Manitowoc, and the Police Department is looking for the owners of the dog.
A woman was walking at the North Pier, more commonly known as the Blue Rail, when she approached a man and woman walking a dog. She asked if she could pet the canine, which the man said was ok, but when she bent over, the dog clamped down on her right forearm.
The bite required five stitches, and the man apologized for the bite. He asked if she wanted them to follow her to the hospital, but when the woman left, she never saw the dog owners again.
Anyone with any information on who the owners of the dog may be are encouraged to contact the Manitowoc Police Department at 920-686-6500, or Crime Stoppers at 920-683-4466. You can also utilize the P3 app.
