The Wisconsin Court of Appeals has rejected a request by Steven Avery for a new trial and a hearing to present new evidence in a unanimous vote.
Steven Avery, a Mishicot area man, is currently serving life in prison for the murder of Teresa Halbach. His attorney asked the court to consider new evidence as well insufficient evidence during his last trial.
The decision from the Appeals Court came in this morning. Avery’s earlier appeals were likewise denied.
