The Manitowoc Police Department arrested a man on his 4th OWI offense over the weekend.
An officer noticed a vehicle driving in the 100 block of Revere Street just after midnight Saturday morning (July 24th) without his taillights on.
When the officer explained to the man why he pulled him over, the driver said he wasn’t aware they weren’t on.
The officer noticed signs of impairment and asked the driver and two passengers if they had been drinking, which they all said they had.
When the officer told the driver he was going to perform a field sobriety test, the driver reportedly said to “take me to jail already”.
The man was charged with his 4th OWI, even though his blood draw came back showing a blood alcohol content of .10. The man was on probation for drug charges and was required to maintain a BAC of less than .02 when driving.
