The Appleton Police Department is investigating a report of shots being fired in the heart of the city.
An officer was in the area of West Lawrence and South Story Streets at around 1:00 AM on Saturday investigating a suspicious incident, when he made contact with an individual in a home in the 900 block of Lawrence.
This individual told the officer that a gun was fired in the residence, and an investigation revealed a single shot was fired during a drug deal.
There were no injuries reported, and the public is not believed to be in any danger as it was a targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing
