A man has died following a medical emergency while swimming in Door County.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the unnamed 35-year-old man was swimming off the shore of Cave Point County Park at around 2:30 PM on Saturday (July 17th).
When he came out of the water, the man collapsed and fell back into the water.
Bystanders were able to quickly pull the man from the water and begin life-saving efforts while medical crews made their way to him.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment but died while at the hospital.
The investigation into his death is still ongoing, and his name has not been released, pending notification of his family.
