The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office reports a young woman, believed to be in her mid-20’s, died this (Friday) morning when her vehicle left Highway 28 and crashed in some woods.
Captain Matt Spence said their Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call just after 6am about a vehicle found off State Highway 28, north of Lone Pine Road in the Town of Scott. Investigators determined the driver was trapped in the wreckage & was deceased at the scene. Her name is being withheld until proper identification and notification has been made with family members.
Captain Spence said the motorist was northbound on highway 28 when she exited the roadway and her vehicle rolled over, striking some trees. Sheboygan County investigators say the cause and nature of the early morning crash remains under investigation.
