With the weather expected to be rather nice this weekend, many people are likely to spend some time outside.
If you are, and have aerosol sunscreen, your product may have been recalled by Johnson & Johnson.
They have recalled four Neutrogena, and one Aveeno sunscreen product due to low levels of benzene being found in the products, and consumers are being asked to stop using them.
Benzene is classified as a human carcinogen, a substance that could potentially cause cancer depending on the level and extent of exposure.
The products affected including Neutrogena’s Beach Defense, Cool Dry Sport, Invisible Daily Defense, and Ultra Sheer aerosol sunscreens, and Aveeno’s Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen.
Product images and lot information is available at Neutrogena.com and Aveeno.com.
