The Manitowoc Police Department has arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor in multiple cities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
A Detective began investigating the case on April 28th, when he interviewed the victim in the case.
The victim stated that she and the abuser lived in the same apartment, which was above a toy store in Manitowoc.
She told the officers that she would wake up in the middle of the night, and the 40-year-old man would be exposed, but would immediately cover-up.
This would eventually advance to full-on sexual assault while she was sleeping, and the victim claimed the man would sexually assault her whenever she angered him.
Assaults also reportedly occurred in Oshkosh, Appleton, and Fond du Lac.
The Detective spoke with the suspect on Tuesday (July 6th), where he admitted to assaulting the minor.
He was subsequently arrested on charges of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and Engaging in Repeated Sexual Act of the Same Child.
