A 27-year-old man accused of a hate crime in Fond du Lac County will have a competency hearing early next week.
Daniel Navarro has been charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide with a Hate Crime Enhancer after he reportedly crashing into a motorcycle being driven by 55-year-old Phillip Thiessen because he was white.
He told police after the July 3rd, 2020 crash that if President Donald Trump and white people are going to create the world we are living in, he has no choice and that people are going to have to die.
He also claimed to have been the target of racism due to his Hispanic heritage.
Navarro is due back in court on Monday (July 12th) for his competency hearing after two psychiatric exams determined he was not competent to stand trial.
