
The Appleton Police Department has made an arrest in a false imprisonment incident that was reported early Monday morning.
According to LT Mike Wallace with the Investigative Services Unit, the Department was called just after 4:00 AM on July 5th and received a report of a female that was being held against her will, and had been physically assaulted.
Officers went to an address in the 1200 block of W. Lorain St. Officers entered the residence and made contact with a man and woman inside the home.
Additional details have not been released, but we do know that the woman was transported to an area hospital to receive medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and 44-year-old Curtis E. Meyer was taken into custody.
He is facing charges of False Imprisonment and Battery.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Investigators are still working to determine the nature of the relationship between the involved parties.
