While many people had an enjoyable weekend with friends, family, food, and fireworks, one family’s night ended in tragedy in Green Bay on Sunday.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to a home in the 200 block of Hazel Street, as the rear of a home was completely engulfed in flames.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about ten minutes.
All seven of the residents and their pets were able to escape the home uninjured but have been displaced.
Improperly disposed fireworks are being blamed for that fire, and another one, the details of which were not released.
On top of the home fires, there were also several dumpsters that caught fire after people dumped their fireworks in them.
There were no deaths reported at any of the fire locations.
