Manitowoc County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says the county is planning some upgrades to its county parks.
He tells us, “We’re investing in the building of pavilions in the parks, Cato Falls park and the Walla Hi park, we’ll be building pavilions just like we built one last fall in the Maribel Caves park. The Maribel Caves is getting great reviews, it’s attracting people from all over Wisconsin and other places, and that’s a big tourist attraction in Manitowoc County.”
Appearing late last week on the WCUB Breakfast Club, Ziegelbauer said that the county has a significant amount of federal money from the COVID relief packages, and is looking to share those funds with municipal units in the county: “We’ve got four years to spend the money, and we’re looking to cost-share with the municipalities for other things that we can do.”
Other possibilities include public works projects like replacing lead laterals in municipal water services.
