The 29-year-old man accused of robbing a Walgreens store in Green Bay earlier this week has been charged.
Sifedo Gomez is facing charges of Armed Robbery, Intimidating a Victim Threatening Force, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, all as a repeater. His bail has also been set at $50,000 cash, as per court commissioner Paul Burke.
Gomez reportedly entered the Walgreens located at 116 North Military Avenue at around 2:30 AM on Monday (June 28th) while armed with a handgun. He showed the gun to an employee and demanded all the money in the drawer, totaling around $788, before fleeing on foot.
Gomez was later spotted at Jackson Square Park on South Monroe Avenue sitting at a table with a machete.
He was arrested without incident.
Gomez later admitted to robbing the store, claiming to have dropped the cash near the entrance to the nearby PDQ carwash.
