A woman who was arrested in 2020 on several drug-related charges has been sentenced.
33-year-old Ashley N. Monroy, who is listed as being from North Charleston North Carolina, was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on charges of Possession of Narcotics and Fleeing or Eluding an Officer and was recently before Judge Robert Dewane.
Judge Dewane sentenced the woman to spend 60 days in jail, but she is getting credit for already spending 54 days in jail.
A vehicle being driven by Monroy was pulled over on Highway 310 west of Highway B on July 10th, 2020, by a Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Monroy reportedly sped away from the Deputy, reaching speeds of around 100 miles per hour before crashing on Highway Q near Goodwin Road.
Both Monroy and her accomplice, Timothy M. Belongie, fled on foot but were caught a short time late.
