A Milwaukee man has been sentenced for his role in a 2019 robbery of Popp’s Harbor Town Citgo in Manitowoc.
26-year-old Damone D. Ezell was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of armed robbery, and Judge Robert Dewane sentenced him to four years in prison, and three years on extended supervision.
However, his sentence was stayed, meaning Ezell will be on probation for five years and will serve his jail sentence if he breaks the conditions of his probation.
A surveillance video show Ezell entering the store on September 21st, 2019 displaying a weapon, and fleeing with an unspecified about of money taken from the register and some other items.
After a search of his Milwaukee home that uncovered some of the stolen items, Ezell was arrested without further incident.
