With Independence Day only five days away, preparations are being made in Manitowoc for the fireworks show and parade.
The parade will be taking place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 4th, and will run through downtown Manitowoc. The parade will begin at the corner of South 8th and Washington Street and will travel on 8th Street before turning right onto Maritime Drive. It will make its way along Lake Michigan to Huron Street, where the floats will be disassembled.
The annual 4th on the Shore Celebrations will take place all day, with food vendors in the YMCA parking lot, kids activities and other food in the Yacht Club parking lot, and bands at several locations.
The fireworks show, presented by Festival Foods will begin on the lakefront at 9:30 PM and can be viewed from many locations, including the Sub Pub on the roof deck of the Maritime Museum.
