A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he was seen driving recklessly through several neighborhoods in the city.
An officer spotted a vehicle traveling south at a high rate of speed on Lincoln Boulevard near Waldo Boulevard at around 1:00 AM Monday morning. The officer began to follow the vehicle as the 17-year-old male driver made his way to Maritime Drive, to South 10th Street, onto Quay Street, and backward through the Library Book Drop Off lane. The officer eventually lost track of the vehicle on North 8th Street, but had gotten the license plate number.
The officer made their way to the registered address for the vehicle, and saw a male exit the vehicle and enter the home. They made contact with the 17-year-old driver and arrested him on charges of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and two counts of Bail Jumping, one Felony, and one Misdemeanor.
