When compared to last year’s numbers, home sales in Manitowoc County last month were slightly down.
According to a report issued by the Wisconsin Realtor Association, 79 homes were sold in May of this year, compared to 85 in May of 2020.
That is a decline of about 7.9%, however, homes were spending significantly less time on the market.
On average, each home sold last month was only on the market for 55 days, a 30.4% drop from last May’s 79 days.
Also, the average home was $150,000 last month, comparted to $145,000 last May.
The state numbers showed a different story, as the number of sales jumped 12.1% to 7,452, and the price of those homes was up 14.2% to $245,500.
The number of days on the market was down statewide as well, with each home spending an average of 73 days up for sale, a decline of 24%.
