Two people were transported to area hospitals after they were struck by a car while leaving a truck and tractor pull in Outagamie County on Saturday.
The two individuals, a 19-year-old Appleton man, and a 21-year-old woman from the Greenleaf area were leaving the Mackville Nationals Truck and Tractor Pulls at around 9:40 PM and attempted to cross Highway 47.
The duo reportedly did not see the vehicle being driven by a 73- year-old Illinois man.
The man suffered what was termed critical injuries, and was airlifted from the scene, while the woman was taken away in an ambulance having suffered serious injuries.
Speed and alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
