Farmers, gardeners, and lawn enthusiasts around Manitowoc County can breathe a short sigh of relief this morning, as a small amount of rain fell overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, 1/5 of an inch fell at the Manitowoc Airport, located on the north side of Manitowoc.
While this rain was much needed following several weeks of high temperatures and no precipitation, crops, lawns, and plants definitely need more, and we will likely receive more rain this weekend.
The National Weather Service predicts a 90% chance of showers on Sunday, and temps will be lower through the next week, only reaching as high as 74 this weekend.
