A smoke shop in Fond du Lac caught fire yesterday morning (June 17th).
The fire at Big Jay’s Smoke Shop in the 100 block of South Main Street was reported to the Fond du Lac Fire Rescue Department just before 7:45 AM.
Crews entered the store, which has apartments above it and found the fire on the first floor.
All of the residents in the apartments were able to escape without injury, however, there was a moderate amount of smoke damage throughout the building according to the Fire Department.
It is not clear at this time what caused the fire, and the investigation is ongoing.
The American Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.
